Description
- Harry Elvis Ferman born 6 March 1906 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He married Myrtle Gertrude Volz on 25 September 1929 in Elkhart, Iowa. Myrtle was born abt. 1905.
- Harry and his wife moved to Wichita by the spring of 1930 as Harry was looking for a job as an artist, which he was soon hired by the Levand brothers, the owners of the Wichita Beacon. He was known for his photography, and his artwork. When the Beacon sold to the Eagle in 1960, Harry joined the art department at Boeing aircraft company. Harry’s art was very popular, and the citizens of Wichita cherished his unique ability.
- Harry died 28 April 1973 and Myrtle died 29 January 2005. Both are buried in the Calvary Cemetery in Wichita. Four children are known to born to this union.
