Description

  • Frank Talbert Priest was born 29 January 1894 in Bainbridge, Indiana. He came to Wichita in 1904 after the death of his mother to live with his aunt. He arrived by train to live with his aunt with a note pinned to his lapel “Frank T. Priest – Wichita, Kansas”. He married Eva Moore Dimond in 1923. Eva was born 19 August 1897 in Wichita. After Eva passed he married Jessie Burns Frye on 30 March 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri.
  • Frank started work for Dulaney, Johnston & Yankey as an office boy and bicycle messenger before becoming a partner in the firm in 1916. He became a senior partner in 1939. He worked for the firm for 55 years.
  • He enlisted in the Army in 1917 and served with Battery A & F, 130th Field Artillery Regiment, 35th Division. Frank was active in the community serving on the Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce, an advisory board member for Wichita Children’s home and many more.
